2026 Tiguan Starting Price and Trim Levels
The 2026 VW Tiguan starts at $32,280 and is available to customers in four distinct trim levels: S, SE, SE R-Line Black, and the new SEL R-Line Turbo. Front-wheel drive is standard on the S and SE trim levels, with 4Motion all-wheel drive available as an option. The SEL R-Line Turbo comes standard with AWD and has a base MSRP of $44,560.
Powering The Tiguan
All Tiguan models come standard with a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that features 201 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque with FWD or 221 lb-ft when optioned with AWD. The SEL R-Line Turbo’s extra power brings that number to 268 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. All power is sent to an 8-speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly and quickly both up and down the gears, and can help optimize fuel efficiency. The EPA estimates that the new SEL R-Line Turbo will achieve 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, with a combined fuel economy of 25 mpg.
